The ideal candidate must be a qualified heavy metal fabricator with a strong understanding of heavy metal fabrication and manufacturing and must have previously worked in a manufacturing company that produces the above-mentioned products. This role is crucial for supporting our growth and aligning with Botswana’s national strategy to optimise local manufacturing and your contribution will be instrumental in our unwavering commitment to local manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Seeking a candidate to oversee fabrication and production processes, manage schedules, ensure efficiency, and maintain quality standards. The ideal candidate will work closely with drafters, boilermakers, and coded welders to uphold high-quality standards, collaborate with management, implement safety protocols, and mentor a team of five understudies.
Qualifications and experience:
10+ years experience in heavy steel fabrication and manufacturing industry
Strong knowledge and understanding of fabrication of batching plants, tailing plants, dewatering plants, DMS plants, bins, skips, chutes, launders, stackers, reclaimers, water tanks, fuel tanks, pressure vessels, grain silos, plate girders, head gears, hoppers, feeders, trommels, kiln shells, scrubbers’ shells, ball mill shells, and ventilation systems
Ability to work cross-functionally with design, technical, and quality assurance teams
