VACANCY
Purpose:
To manage the lodge and create a profound guest experience in line with the service vision and creative concepts of the Lodge. Responsible for monitoring hospitality service, maintenance, and housekeeping standards, as well as driving strategic directives and achieving broader goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive broader company goals by planning and implementing strategic management plans.
Manage, train, and upskill camp staff in line with the Uncharted Africa Standard of Excellence.
Ensure ultimate guest relations and maintain “at home” personal attention levels.
Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and maintenance.
Effective financial management (orders and stock control).
Effective communication and maintenance of camp relations.
Requirements:
Minimum 4 years’ experience as a manager in a recognized five-star hotel or world-class lodge.
Exceptional Food and Beverage knowledge.
Financial management ability.
High standards of service excellence and industry passion.
Attention to detail.
Excellent English; a second language preferred.
Good computer literacy.
Excellent management and communication skills.
Understanding of labor law and disciplinary procedures.
Developmental approach to staff.
Assertiveness, patience, and organizational skills.
Understanding of housekeeping and maintenance.
Awareness of food/lodge industry developments and international trends.
