The role requires the Stores Controller to manage and oversee camp / lodge stock and supplies. This includes the efficient management and control of stock and supplies for the camp / lodge and working in collaboration with other departments to ensure they are adequately and efficiently serviced and provided stock and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

Organize and use storage space in the most efficient manner to facilitate easy access to stock and reduce stock losses and damages.
Manage stock rotation in line with standard operating procedures.
Maintain a clean and hygienic stores area and ensure there is no cross contamination of stock items. Implement appropriate pest control measures to keep stock safe.
Make sure that all stored items are properly labeled and stored in accordance with safety and hygiene standards.
Receive and inspect stock deliveries. Verify the quantities and quality of the items received. Make sure items delivered match purchase orders or other order documentation.
Maintain accurate records of all stock items, recording all stock received, written off and issued.
Maintain security of all stores stock and ensure requisitions / job cards are completed in line with company procedures.
Implement and maintain the inventory system according to company policy and procedures. This includes organizing and categorizing inventory.
Conduct regular stock counts, in line with company policies and procedures.
Reconcile stock levels, variances and discrepancies.
Collaborate with lodge / camp departments to determine stock requirements.
Provide the Camp / Lodge Administrator with inventory order requirements.
Provide the Camp / Lodge Administrator with reports and feedback on inventory levels, consumption rates, patterns and other relevant information.

Requirements

Senior Secondary School Certificate (BGCSE).
Certificate in Inventory Management or equivalent.
Good knowledge of inventory management processes and systems.
At least one (1) year’s previous experience in a similar role.
Good organization and planning skills.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Productivity Tools (Word, Excel).
Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping.
Honesty and sober habits.
