\nThe national JTI programme is a training and competitive programme that focuses on providing tennis 10s training and competition for players aged 10-and under of all abilities and performance training and competition for the most talented players involved in Tennis10s and those aged 12, 14, 16 and under.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nKey Performance Areas
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n* Oversee and manage the JTI program in Gaborone and to a certain extent in the whole Region
\n* Facilitate the training of other coaches and teachers in the Region
\n* Provide regional JTI reports of the programme.
\n* Monitor the use of the equipment provided by the Association
\n* Implement a process of talent identification in Gaborone and the region
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nMinimum Requirements:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n* Traceable record as a player, knowledge of the sport and enthusiasm for tennis
\n* Possession of an ITF level 1 coaching (Play and Stay may be considered as well)
\n* A Diploma in sport development\/ physical education \/or related field will be an added advantage
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nExperience
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nGood tennis playing level, knowledge of the sport, experience as a coach and enthusiasm for the sport.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0

\nKey Activities (Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities)
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n* Visiting schools in Gaborone and the region to introduce tennis sport.
\n* Assists in identifying talent in schools within the region.
\n* Arrange for the most talented players to receive additional coaching at the Gaborone Centre.
\n* Ensure court time is available for the most talented players.
\n* Being aware of the most significant results for the most talented 14 and under players in the region.
\n* Organising individual competition and festivals at Red, Orange and Green stages within the region.
\n* Attract new primary and secondary schools and clubs to take part in the programme.
\n* Oversee the programme at primary and secondary schools through regular visits, retraining of teachers and coaches and guidance and advice to develop opportunities.
\n* Identifying the most talented 10 and under players in the region
\n* Organise or support the organisation of regional competitions for 12&Under and 14&Under players.
\n* Produce monthly Reports on both Administrative and Technical matters<\/p>\n
