A high calibre Chartered Accountant is sought to fill the role of\u00a0Deputy CFO\u00a0for a Botswana retail group operating across Botswana, Namibia, and South Africa. This role requires a financially savvy professional with a commercial mindset, eager to be part of a driven team and take responsibility for a wide range of financial management and related functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate ownership, accountability, and proven management and organizational skills.

Financial management, planning, analysis, control, and reporting\u00a0(including consolidations and AFS)
\nTax management\u00a0(transfer pricing, cross-jurisdictional considerations, and forex)
\nGovernance and risk management\u00a0(regulatory issues, compliance, and related reporting)
\nStakeholder engagement\u00a0(banks, service providers, auditors)
\nTreasury, funding, and cross-border transactions
\nProject management
\nOperations team engagement\u00a0(building relationships with Operations divisions)
\nFinancial disciplines management\u00a0(systems, controls, and procedures)
\nAnnual audit management and coordination
\nPeople management\u00a0(building, developing, and managing a large team)<\/p>\n

\nKey Requirements
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Fully qualified\u00a0Chartered Accountant\u00a0with at least\u00a010 years post-qualification experience
\nMBA\u00a0qualification
\nProven senior\/executive level experience in corporate financial reporting and management
\nExperience in enhancing systems, controls, procedures, and risk management
\nTechnically and commercially astute, with strategic decision-making and scenario analysis skills
\nBoard and corporate reporting experience
\nSolid project management skills and ability to develop teams
\nAudit experience and management
\nLeadership and organizational skills, including experience managing large, diverse teams
\nExcellent communication skills, able to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and work with a broad range of people
\nHighly Advantageous
\nCIMA qualification
\nRetail \/ FMCG experience
\nExposure to cross-jurisdictional considerations\u00a0(tax and transfer pricing)<\/p>\n
