\nThe Botswana Stock Exchange Limited (BSE) wishes to recruit a dynamic professional to join the Product Development Department and to help position the BSE to transform Botswana\u2019s economy and be the torchbearer of moving Botswana to a high income and inclusive economy through capital markets.

\nPRODUCT DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST
\n\u00a0
\nThe Specialist is expected to assist in implementing the BSE\u2019s transformative strategy under Product Development, primarily with respect to conceptualizing and onboarding new and innovative instruments for mobilizing capital, implementing thought leadership initiatives, introducing new market access and distribution channels, and ultimately enhancing the BSE\u2019s market capitalization, liquidity, diversity and vibrancy.

\nDUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
\n\u00a0
\n\u2013 Contribute towards solving the problems, and capturing the opportunities, arising from the macro-economic and fiscal challenges
\n\u2013 Initiate investment pitches and ideas for innovative financing opportunities
\n\u2013 Assess and resolve structural impediments for improving efficiencies in capital raising, clearing and settlement, trading and market access
\n\u2013 Assists in stakeholder management, policy advocacy and implementation of capital markets reforms
\n\u2013 Prepare insightful periodic reports and updates on market performance including statutory reports key stakeholders such as MoF, NBFIRA, WFE, ASEA, SSE and the Board.

\nApplicants should have a Master\u2019s Degree in International Finance, Global Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Investment Management, and\/or professional qualifications such as CFA\/CAIA.
\nThe candidate should have at least five (5) years of working experience in capital markets research, covering sovereigns and\/or private sector. Having worked for international development finance institutions will be an added advantage.
