\nQUALIFICATION

\n1. Potential Candidates should possess BGCSE or equivalent with a minimum of 24 Points.
\n2. Any other qualification(s) to a maximum of Associate Degree \/ Higher Diploma or
\nequivalent is an added advantage.
\nNB: Bachelor\u2019s Degree holders should not apply for this post.

\nENTRY REQUIREMENTS
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n1. Botswana Citizens both Males and Females in possession of valid National
\nID cards (Omang).
\n2. Aged between 18-24 years.
\n3. Be physically and mentally fit in accordance with the BDF Recruitment
\nMedical Standards.
\n4. No adverse criminal records.
\n5. 6. 7. Minimum height of 160 cm for Males and 155 cm for Females.
\nMinimum body weight of 55 Kg for Males and 45 Kg for Females.
\nAll candidates shall undergo the selection process which includes both physical
\nfitness assessment, comprehensive medical examination and security
\nclearance.
\n8. Female candidates must not be pregnant at the time of selection and during
\ntraining.
\n9. Body Art (Tattoos): Should be concealed by military uniform and not be
\ndisplaying extremism, indecency, sexism or racism.
\nNB: Botswana Defence Force has established Mobile Recruitment Centres in the
\nfollowing areas: Tsabong, Ghanzi, Maun, Kasane, Francistown, Palapye and Gaborone as the Main Centre. It is therefore compulsory that candidates indicate their place of preference (Mobile Recruitment Centres) in their applications.

\n3. Physical fitness assessment (2.4km run, push-ups and sit- ups).
\n4. Security clearance \/ vetting.

\nMANDATORY TRAINING:

\n\u00a0
\nSuccessful candidates shall undergo a 6 months Basic
\nMilitary Training. On completion of training, Privates must be ready to serve in various
\ngeographical locations and environmental conditions.
\nCertified copies of National identity card (Omang), and relevant educational
\ncertificates\/documents, transcripts, CV and references must be attached.
\nNB: Qualifying applicants who are registered under Social Services should indicate this
\nin their application letters and attach supporting letter from Social Worker.
