\nMAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
\n\u00a0
\nTo be responsible for the day-to-day management and operational support of the University\u2019s IT infrastructure and services, ensuring seamless and reliable technology support for staff and students across all Campuses (Gaborone, Francistown and Maun). The position reports directly to the Director, Information and Digital Technology.

\nMAIN DUTIES

\n\u2022 Infrastructure Management & Maintenance
\n\u2022 Digital Innovation & Transformation
\n\u2022 Service Delivery & Support
\n\u2022 Project Coordination & Support
\n\u2022 Cybersecurity and Compliance
\n\u2022 Team and Vendor Management
\n\u2022 IT Equipment and Training
\n\u2022 Web Management
\n\u2022 Documentation & Reporting.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 Understand the various ICT products and how to implement them.
\n\u2022 Understanding of the higher tertiary education system in Botswana.
\n\u2022 Ability to understand financials, for example budgets and financial statements.
\n\u2022 A demonstrated ability to identify, resolve and consult on a wide range of academic and administrative issues, with a clear sense of institutional needs and priorities.
\n\u2022 Strong, sound organisational and management skills, as well as highly computer literate.
\n\u2022 Strong leadership & interpersonal skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
\n\u2022 Proven analytical, critical and problem-solving abilities.
\n\u2022 Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
\n\u2022 Strong project management skills.
\n\u2022 Exceptional customer service orientation.
\n\u2022 High attention to detail.
\n\u00a0

\nQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 Master\u2019s Degree in Computer Science Information Systems
\n\u2022 Bachelor Degree in Computer Science \/ Electronics Engineering\/ Information System.
\n\u2022 A Master\u2019s in Business Administration degree, MCSE, MOS, CCNA, CCNP, ERP or any Certification will be an added advantage.
\n\u2022 At least 7 years\u2019 experience in the Higher Educational Sector, 3 Years at managerial role<\/p>\n
