No. 22 of 2019. The Council\u2019s main functions are to regulate the teaching profession, maintain professional and ethical standards including teaching knowledge, skills and competencies; license teachers; establish, publish, review and maintain a code of ethics for teachers; and review as well as advise on professional standards of teachers.<br \/>\nApplications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following position under BOTEPCO. Appointment to this position will be on five (5) years contract basis.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nVACANCY CIRCULAR NO: 1 OF 2025<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nVacancy: Manager: Strategy, Planning and Monitoring<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nRole Purpose<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nTo plan, organise and manage the strategy planning and monitoring unit including strategy development, planning, monitoring and evaluation as well as project and programme planning, management and reporting to achieve the Council\u2019s mandate and objectives.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nKey Performance Areas<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2022 Establish strategic direction of the Council.<br \/>\n\u2022 Adoption and integration of strategic plans across the Council.<br \/>\n\u2022 Timely availability of reports on strategy and project progress.<br \/>\n\u2022 Effective change management.<br \/>\n\u2022 Timely and proactive communication and escalation of strategy and project implementation issues.<br \/>\n\u2022 Achievement of strategic and project goals and targets within set timelines and budgets.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe main duties include but are not limited to:<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2022 Ensure effective internal and external stakeholder management to facilitate alignment with best practice teaching regulation and professionalisation.<br \/>\n\u2022 Formulate, review, and implement relevant policies, strategies, rules, regulations, systems and procedures that are meant to facilitate the delivery of the department\u2019s mandate.<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop measures, milestones, and procedures to monitor the Council\u2019s achievement of approved strategies and plans.<br \/>\n\u2022 Contribute to the development, approval, maintenance and dissemination of teaching profession requirements, policies, and standards.<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide input into the development, review and approval of the Code of Teaching Professional Ethics based on research and professional best practice standards.<br \/>\n\u2022 Provide input on the development of teaching accreditation requirements in liaison with the Teacher Professional Services function.<br \/>\n\u2022 Develop the monitoring and evaluation policies and processes to measure the effectiveness of the Council\u2019s strategies, programmes, policies, teaching standards across the country.<br \/>\n\u2022 Coordinate and manage the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of the strategic plans, departmental plans, and any projects, programmes that the Council may undertake, and the production of periodic consolidated performance tracking reports (against targets).<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nQualifications and Experience<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business Administration, Economics or related area and an additional qualification in Strategic Management, Project \/ Programme Management and\/or Monitoring and Evaluation.<br \/>\n\u2022 At least eight (8) years post qualification experience in Strategic Management, Project \/ Programme Management and\/or Monitoring and Evaluation.<br \/>\n\u2022 At least three (3) of these years should have been spent in a supervisory \/ management role.<br \/>\n\u2022 Proven experience in strategic planning and performance measurement, including indicator selection, target setting, reporting and developing performance and M&amp;E methods and frameworks.<br \/>\n\u2022
