\n5. COMMISSIONER, CORPORATE STRATEGY AND RESEARCH

JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n

The purpose of this role is to develop, oversee, drive, and monitor the implementation of the BURS Corporate strategy to ensure smooth strategy execution, risk management, governance and effective data driven research methodologies.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Develops and implements corporate strategic plans by conducting thorough analysis and aligning objectives with Organisational goals.<\/p>\n
Provides guidance on ethical practices and corporate governance by advising on ethical dilemmas and ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards.<\/p>\n
Directs program and project management activities by establishing project objectives, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project completion.<\/p>\n
Collaborates with divisional heads to achieve strategic objectives by fostering teamwork and aligning departmental goals with overall Organisational strategy.<\/p>\n
Develops and maintains relationships with key stakeholders by engaging in proactive communication and addressing stakeholder needs and concerns.<\/p>\n
Leads change management initiatives to support Organisational transformation by communicating changes, addressing resistance, and fostering a culture of adaptability.<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
A Master\u2019s Degree in either Business Administration, Strategy Management, Economics, Finance, or a related field.<\/p>\n
At least 15 years\u2019 relevant work experience in corporate strategy, governance and research roles, with at least 5 years in a senior\/executive leadership position within a business administration, strategy, economics or financial services related industry. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing corporate strategies, coupled with strong leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving organisational change is mandatory for this role.<\/p>\n
