\nCASales and Distribution offers sales, merchandising, warehousing, distribution and debtors services for global and Southern African FMCG brands across Botswana.
\nWe are currently looking for the services of a Transport Manager based in Gaborone, Botswana.
\nReporting to the Operations Director you shall oversee the company\u2019s fleet of vehicles and transportation operations, ensure efficient and safe movements of goods while managing logistics, compliance and team coordination.

\n\u00a0
\nResponsibilities
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n\u25c6 Oversee the procurement, maintenance and replacement of vehicles in the fleet. Ensure that all vehicles are in good working condition and meet safety standards.
\n\u25c6 Hire, train, and supervise drivers. Create work schedules and transportation routes to optimize delivery efficiency.
\n\u25c6 Monitor transportation costs and manage budgets, ensuring that operations remain within financial constraints. Manage the budget for vehicle repairs, maintenance, and fuel consumption.
\n\u25c6 Ensure adherence to all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards, implementing necessary training for staff.
\n\u25c6 Maintain detailed records of vehicle servicing, inspections, and repairs. Use fleet management software to track vehicle performance and maintenance schedules.
\n\u25c6 Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate transportation logistics and ensure timely delivery of goods. Address issues that arise during transportation.

\nExperience, Knowledge and Qualifications
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nThe ideal candidate should have a minimum of seven (7) years post qualification experience within the FMCG market, of which 3 years must have been at management level.
\n\u25c6 A Bachelor\u2019s degree in logistics, transportation or related.
\n\u25c6 Proficiency in logistics software is critical.
\n\u25c6 In-depth knowledge of transportation regulations is a requirement.
\n\u25c6 Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a team of drivers and support staff effectively.
\n\u25c6 Strong problem-solving skills.
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
