\nSentebale is looking for 3 Community Health workers who can join the team to drive the mandate of creating sustainable solutions that address issues of health, socio-economic empowerment and climate resilience in Botswana through a project that aims to address the urgent health and human rights challenges faced by adolescent Girls and Young Women (AGYW) and Adolescent Boys and Young Men (ABYM), both in-school and out-of-school, in Botswana. Through a comprehensive approach to HIV prevention, this project will focus on HIV testing, condom education and distribution, stigma reduction, human rights advocacy, and the commemoration of World AIDS Day. The program will integrate Community-Led Monitoring (CLM) as a key tool for promoting rights-based programming, increasing accountability, and ensuring that services meet the needs of youth populations.

\nApplications are invited from suitable and qualified individuals for the position of Consultant Community Health Workers for the period of eight months in Gaborone.

\n\u00a0
\nDuties include
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 Community mapping
\n\u2022 Facilitation of HIV\/NCDs\/GBV prevention messaging
\n\u2022 Screening for NCDs, GBV and STIs
\n\u2022 Referrals for HIV testing and counseling, post GBV care, STI treatment and care
\n\u2022 Follow-up referrals to relevant stakeholders.
\n\u2022 Provide narrative reports and financial receipts.
\n\u2022 Plan and prepare for all network club activities.
\n\u2022 Mobilize participants for sessions
\n\u2022 Facilitate all network club activities.
\n\u2022 Community mobilization and engagement
\n\u00a0

\nQualifications\/ Requirements
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 BGCSE or equivalent, a certificate in community health care or public health education will be an added advantage
\n\u2022 At least 1 year of work experience in health care, community health, or social services field
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nCompetency
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 Advanced facilitation skills
\n\u2022 Strong organizational skills with ability to deal with numerous priorities concurrently.
\n\u2022 Ability to work in the community and with minimal supervision.
\n\u2022 Capacity to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
\n\u2022 Strong oral and written communication skills
\n\u2022 Fluent in Setswana and English
\n\u2022 Computer literate
\n\u2022 Applicants should be residing within the community\/duty station.
