10. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, LARGE TAXPAYERS\u2019 HUB
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
JOB PURPOSE
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic direction and oversight to the Large Taxpayers\u2019 Hub, develop, and implement initiatives to maximize revenue collection from large taxpayers, as well as advocate for policies and reforms that support the interests of the large taxpayers.<\/p>\n

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Develops and implements strategies to enhance tax compliance and service delivery for large taxpayers, aligning with BURS\u2019 strategic objectives<\/p>\n
Coordinates with the Enforcement Division to effectively address non-compliance and tax evasion among large taxpayers<\/p>\n
Directs civil audit and compliance activities by identifying and addressing areas of tax risk among large taxpayers<\/p>\n
Oversees debt management for large taxpayers, ensuring timely recovery of outstanding taxes and minimizing arrears<\/p>\n
Ensures compliance with governance standards and risk management protocols by developing and enforcing policies and procedures to mitigate risks<\/p>\n
Represents the interests of large taxpayers within BURS, advocating for policies and practices that support compliance and business growth<\/p>\n
Leads special projects and initiatives aimed at improving the tax compliance landscape for large taxpayers<\/p>\n
Utilizes data analytics to inform risk assessment, compliance strategies, and service improvements for large taxpayers<\/p>\n

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
A Master\u2019s Degree in either Taxation, Accounting, Finance, Law, or related field. A professional certification (e.g. ACCA, CPA) will be an added advantage<\/p>\n
At least 10 years\u2019 experience in tax administration or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in a management capacity<\/p>\n
