\n1. Regulatory Compliance
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nMonitor and interpret regulatory developments from all primary and secondary regulatory bodies.
\nEnsure timely and accurate submission of all regulatory reports and returns.
\nMaintain regulatory obligations register and track compliance status.
\nLiaise with regulators during inspections, audits and inquiries.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n2. Conduct Risk & Ethics
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nPromote a culture of ethical conduct and customer-centric behavior.
\nMonitor and report on conduct risk indicators, including customer complaints, mis-selling, and product suitability.
\nSupport implementation of Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n3. AML\/CFT & Financial Crime Compliance
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nAssist in implementing and maintaining AML\/CFT frameworks in line with FIA requirements.
\nConduct transaction monitoring, suspicious activity reviews, and escalate potential breaches.
\nSupport Know Your Customer (KYC) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes.
\n\u00a0
\n4. Policy & Framework Development
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nUpdate compliance policies and procedures.
\nEnsure alignment with group compliance standards and local regulatory requirements.
\n\u00a0
\n5. Training & Awareness
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nSupport the Senior Compliance Manager in delivering compliance training to staff on regulatory obligations, ethics, and conduct.
\nRaise awareness of emerging compliance risks and regulatory changes.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n6. Monitoring & Reporting
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nConduct compliance risk assessments and thematic reviews.
\nPrepare compliance dashboards and reports for management and board committees.
\nTrack and follow up on remediation of compliance findings.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nRequirements
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nEducation: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, or related field. A compliance certification (e.g., CAMS, ICA) is an advantage.
\nExperience: Minimum 3\u20135 years in a compliance, legal, or regulatory role within financial services. Experience with NBFIRA, BOB or FIA-regulated entities is preferred.
\nKnowledge: Strong understanding of Botswana\u2019s financial regulatory landscape, AML\/CFT laws, and conduct risk frameworks.
\nSkills: Analytical thinking, attention to detail, stakeholder engagement, report writing, and training delivery.
