\nTKM Engineering, a local Building and Civil Engineering Contractor is looking to employ a suitably qualified and experienced person for the position of Accounting Officer \u2013 reporting directly to the Accounting and Finance Manager.
\n\u00a0

\nQUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n1. Diploma in Accounting or related from a recognized university.
\n2. Full membership of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).
\n3. Be proficient with Quickbooks accounting software application or other accounting software applications and the complete Microsoft Office Suite of products.
\n4. At least three (3) years post qualification experience in Accounting (Accounts Payables).
\n5. Strong analytical skills using process approach and risk-based thinking.
\n6. Knowledge of statutory and regulatory requirements applicable to Accounting.
\n7. Strong attention to detail and quality.
\n8. Ability to work under pressure and have good time management.
\n9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
\n\u00a0

\nRESPONSIBILITIES
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\n1. Assigned the responsibilities to assist the Accounting and Finance Manager to manage accounting and finance department processes.
\n2. Assist the Accounting and Finance Manager in managing the accounting and finance department processes effectively and efficiently by planning, leading, organizing, coordinating and controlling.
\n3. Perform the assigned responsibilities effectively and efficiently by complying with the implemented organization Integrated Quality Management System (IQMS) requirements.
\n4. Assist the Accounting and Finance Manager to manage the accounting and finance department processes in a cross-functional manner, ensuring interrelation with other departments of the organization.
\n5. Maintain an appropriate accounting and finance department environment necessary for the operation of the department processes.
\n6. Effectively resolve issues and manage risks.
\n7. To minimize organizational disruption during the execution of the assigned responsibilities.
\n8. Report daily performance of the assigned responsibilities to the Accounting and Finance Manager in accordance with the organization Integrated Quality Management System.
\n9. Keeping abreast of the accounting and finance regulations and statutory requirements to ensure compliance.
