\nBotswana Agricultural Marketing Board (BAMB) seeks the services of a qualified, innovative, results oriented and self-driven individual for the position of Board Secretary and Legal Advisor.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nJOB SUMMARY:
\n\u00a0
\nTo lead, direct and oversee the Board\u2019s legal function and to provide Board Secretarial and governance services to the Board.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nPOSITION REQUIREMENTS
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nEDUCATION:
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or equivalent.
\n\u2022 Admitted and enrolled to practice law in Botswana and holding a valid Practicing Certificate under the Legal Practitioners Act.
\n\u2022 A postgraduate degree or additional qualification in corporate governance would be an added advantage.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nEXPERIENCE:
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 A minimum of ten (10) years post qualification experience in a legal advisory role. At least five (5) of these years should have been spent in a managerial leadership role with Board secretarial responsibilities.
\n\u2022 Demonstrated experience in litigation and dispute resolution.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nPROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP
\n\u00a0
\nMembership in good standing with the Law Society of Botswana is essential.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
