The Financial Intelligence Agency is an Agency of Government responsible mainly for the production and dissemination of financial intelligence to relevant authorities to combat money laundering, terrorist and proliferation financing and other financial crimes. The Agency is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Financial Intelligence Act by Specified Parties and Accountable Institutions.

\nCandidates should have at least a Master\u2019s Degree in Law\/Economics\/Accountancy\/ACCA). A Master\u2019s degree in a relevant fields will be an added advantage.

\nExperience:
\n\u00a0

\nA minimum of eighteen (18) years\u2019 post qualification work experience, two (2) of which must have been served at Senior Assistant Director (E1) salary scale or equivalent. Knowledge and Understanding of the Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism Legal, Regulatory and Supervisory standards is a requirement. Exposure to the following fields is required: AML\/CFT\/CPF policies and Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Recommendations.

\nMain Purpose of the Job:
\nReporting to the Director General, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Anti-Money Laundering, Terrorist and Proliferation Financing (AML\/TF\/PF) policies including ensuring compliance to the Financial Intelligence Act by regulated entities.

\nDuties:

\n\u2022 Support the Director General in developing institutional strategic goals and priorities.
\n\u2022 Provide thought leadership and strategic direction to the team to ensure implementation of AML and on FIA strategies.
\n\u2022 Oversee Operational activities of the Legal, Compliance and Enforcement Division.
\n\u2022 Oversee the operations of the Corporate Services Division including the recruitment of and performance evaluations of staff.
\n\u2022 Inform stakeholders and the general public, understanding FIA\u2019s role through publications, media, and educational initiatives.
\n\u2022 Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including both the private and public sectors, and relevant international organizations.
\n\u2022 Coordinates the development, implementation and review of Anti-Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism policies and procedures.
\n\u2022 Coordinate the development and implementation of intelligence assessment policies and procedures.
\n\u2022 Develop strategic and annual performance plans for the Division.
\n\u2022 Ensure the implementation of annual performance plans.
\n\u2022 Facilitate the formulation of human and financial budget.
\n\u2022 Undertakes any other related duties as assigned by Management.
