\nApplications are invited from qualified persons for the above positions in the Department of Wildlife and National Parks under the Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

\nSALARY SCALE: BI (P91, 608.00 \u2013 P108, 228.00 per annum)LEAVE: 20 working days per annum.

\nCertificate in Wildlife Management and Conservation only.

\nENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Botswana citizens both male and female (with no dual citizen).<\/p>\n
Should be in possession of a valid Botswana National ID card (Omang)<\/p>\n
Be physically and mentally fit.<\/p>\n
No adverse criminal records.<\/p>\n
All candidates shall undergo the selection process which includes both physical fitness assessment and comprehensive Medical examination.<\/p>\n
Candidates who have passed physical and medical examination assessment will be subjected to written interview.<\/p>\n
Successful candidates in written interview will have to undergo a six months Basic Para-Military Training.<\/p>\n
Female candidates must not be pregnant at the time of selection and during training.<\/p>\n

\nMAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

\nTo enforce Wildlife Conservation and National Parks Act, apply tactics and programs to promote wildlife protection.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nDuties:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Issues permit\/ licenses to customers.<\/p>\n
Undertakes law enforcement and problem animal controls patrols.<\/p>\n
Provides tactical support and guidance to stakeholders on wildlife matters<\/p>\n
Contributes to the tactical training of Law Enforcement Units.<\/p>\n
Collects Animal Control Data.<\/p>\n
Enforces Wildlife Conservation and National Parks Act and its subsidiary legislation.<\/p>\n
Collects basic data on fish and wildlife populations for research and monitoring<\/p>\n
Investigates and assesses issues of problem animals and submits a report of such for compensation assessment.<\/p>\n
Assists in activities pertaining to the management of National Parks and Game Reserves.<\/p>\n
