\nThe National Agricultural Research and Development Institute (NARDI) is a Botswana Government \u2013 fund- ed research and development institute incorporated in 2015 as a company limited by guarantee. The In-stitute was established to conduct quality needs-based research and development across the agri- cultural value chain for the benefit of the people, the agricultural industry, government and contribute to the body of knowledge in science and agricultural research. NARDI has a countrywide decentralised presence through a network of Regional Research and Innovation Centres, Field Stations and Experimen- tal sites. NARDI wishes to recruit highly skilled individuals with a passion for excellence and ability to drive the institute into a high-performance research and development organisation that transforms the national agricultural sector. \n1. COMPANY SECRETARY \u2013 FIXED TERM CONTRACT
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nMain Purpose of the Job: Responsible for planning, organising and managing the Institute\u2019s legal services to deliver efficient legal and Board secretarial services; ensure corporate governance compliance with national and international laws in all aspects of corporate governance and management; advises and represents the company in legal disputes and court matters.

\n\u00a0
\nQualifications: Master\u2019s degree in law and a Certificate of admission to practice in the courts of the Re- public of Botswana. Candidates without master\u2019s degree may be considered in exceptional cases.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nExperience: At least ten (10) years\u2019 post qualification relevant experience in a legal corporate environ- ment, civil litigation, commercial law and compliance with right of appearance in the Courts.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nCompetencies: Networking skills, Analytical and Problem-solving; Effective Communication, Impactful Legal Analysis and Advocacy.
\n\u00a0
