\nHSE SUPERINTENDENT
\n\u00a0

\nBASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nThe HSE Superintendent will be responsible for the overall HSE management of KCM expansion project to achieve the safety target, to establish an efficient HSE team to serve KCM expansion project management team and contractors, plan and implement the HSE standard and procedure, coordinate the HSE training, equipment & LV inspection and emergency response, investigate incident and ensure the prevention action to be taken, coordinate the security management for KCM expansion project.

\nMAJOR DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nKey accountabilities include:
\n\u00a0
\nPlan, develop and implement fit for purpose Health, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems that ensure that effective controls are in place.\u2022 Develop monitoring systems and processes to ensure that any Health, Safety and Environmental non-compliance is identified and rectified in a timely manner.\u2022 Develop, evaluate and continuously monitor emergency preparedness to ensure adequate response capability is maintained.\u2022 Ensures compliance with MMG policies and practices. Developing and implementing HSE improvement plans, programs and initiatives.\u2022 Provide visible leadership to improve health, safety, environmental and risk identification, reporting and incident management.\u2022 Provide support to engineering, procurement and commercial to ensure HSE standard and target to be achieved.\u2022 Organize the safety monthly report, make data statistics, timely feedback the HSEc problems of the project to the project team, and put forward corrective suggestions.\u2022 Communicate and coordinate well with KCM mine team, construction contractor and KCM expansion project team to ensure the smooth progress of HSE management of the expansion project.\u2022 Conduct audits, meetings, training, seminars and other activities designed to enhance HSE awareness as prescribed by MMG policies and procedures.\u2022 Ensure that all HSE approvals are in place prior to start work.\u2022 Coordinate the security management for KCM expansion project and contractors.\u2022 Be visible in the field, conducting frequent interactions with operations teams\/contractors to understand work being done, and identifying opportunities to improve.\u2022 Demonstrate safe behaviour at all times and comply with the site\u2019s standards and procedures in SHEC.\u2022 Promote awareness of SHEC practices and imbed a safety culture.\u2022 Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals that support the department site and company standards.\u2022 Report all SHEC incidents.\u2022 Demonstrate leadership in SHEC through personal behaviours and conversations.

\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nEngineering\/Technical qualification.
\n\u00a0
\n\u2022 Preferably post tertiary qualifications in a technical or management discipline.\u2022 More than 20 years of safety management experience in the mining industry.\u2022 At least 5 years\u2019 experience as a manager supervising at least 4 HSE supervisors.\u2022 Engineering degree in quality, engineering or other technical discipline.<\/p>\n
