\nRequirement: Candidates should have a (i) PhD in Archives and Records Management, or in Library and Information Studies, Information Systems, Information Science, or Information Management from a reputable university or institution; (ii) research awards and other forms of research recognition, where appropriate will be an added advantage.

\nUNIVERSITY TEACHING EXPERIENCE OR EQUIVALENT: 9 years
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nDuties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the area of archives and records management with particular reference to any three or more of the following courses: Archival Arrangement and Description, Archival Reference Services, Electronic Records Management, Disaster Planning and Preparedness, Applications of Computers in Archives and Records Management, Content Management, Research Methods, Preservation and Conservation; Digital Archives (ii) supervise undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate research projects; iii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department; iv) carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Head of Department.

\nDuties: The successful candidate will be expected to: i) teach in the area of library and information studies with particular reference to: Theory and Practice of Cataloguing and Classification, Information Storage and Retrieval, Research Methods and Data Analysis, Content Management, Organizing Information, Marketing of Information Products and Services, and Foundations of Information Science; (ii) supervise undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate research projects; (iii) participate in all academic and professional activities of the department; and (iv) carry out any other academic and administrative responsibilities as and when assigned by the Head of Department.<\/p>\n
