\nROLLER COMPACTOR OPERATOR reporting directly to the PROCUREMENT, ASSETS AND LOGISTICS MANAGER.

\nQualifications and requirements
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Cambridge \/ \u2018O\u2019 Level Certificate or related.<\/p>\n
Class H (Special Type) License.<\/p>\n
Valid Driver\u2019s License.<\/p>\n
Madirelo Training and Testing Centre Certificate.<\/p>\n
Three (3) years experience operating a Roller Compactor in a Construction, Mining Industry.<\/p>\n
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/p>\n
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet tight deadlines.<\/p>\n

\nResponsibilities
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Operate roller compactor to compact earthworks for enhancing stability and load bearing capacity.<\/p>\n
Operate roller compactor with precision to achieve specified compaction densities and smoothness levels, adhering to requirements.<\/p>\n
Monitor compaction progress and adjust techniques as needed to address variations in soil conditions or material properties.<\/p>\n
Operate roller compactor to smooth and compact surfaces.<\/p>\n
Conduct daily pre-start inspections, routine maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs on the machinery. Report any mechanical problems to supervisors or mechanics.<\/p>\n
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment for themselves, co-workers, and the public.<\/p>\n
Keep accurate and detailed records of Roller Compactor usage, timesheets, and risk assessments.<\/p>\n
Reporting defects, promptly identifying and reporting any Roller Compactor malfunctions.<\/p>\n
