\nHEAVY PLANT DIESEL MECHANIC
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nMAIN DUTY: To repair, overhaul, maintain and service earthmoving equipment, heavy duty trucks and other diesel-powered equipment and vehicles.
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nAttributes & Skills
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Use spares and equipment in a cost-effective manner.<\/p>\n
Replaces parts and components, and keep detailed, organised records of all repair works done.<\/p>\n
Performs diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on earthmoving equipment, trucks and other equipment according to set standards to ensure optimum availability.<\/p>\n
Test runs and operates all serviced equipment to ensure efficiency and functionality according to manufactures specifications after repairs\/service.<\/p>\n
Execute any other morally reasonable assignments to meet the exigencies of service.<\/p>\n

National Craft Certificate \u2013 Heavy Plant Mechanics<\/p>\n
Valid Class B driver\u2019s license<\/p>\n

\nExperience:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Minimum of five years as a Heavy Plant Diesel Mechanic in a road construction setup.<\/p>\n
\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Experience: Minimum of Class C, PrDP (Goods) and 5 years\u2019 experience as a Heavy Duty Drive<\/p>\n
