\n10) SENIOR MINE PLANNING ENGINEER (Re-Advertisement)

\nBASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

\nThe Senior Mine Planning Engineer will be responsible for providing strategic direction of the Company to maximise returns from its available ore resources producing assets while advancing pre-development projects that offer potential to sustain and grow the business in the long term.

\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nYour key accountabilities include:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Translating broadly stated company objectives into detailed plans and schedules
\nIdentifying long-term mining opportunities and developing strategies for their realization
\nEnsuring that the medium-term development plan is compatible with the long-term plan and strategy
\nCoordinating the mine design and scheduling process through liaising and consultation with production managers.
\nFormulating departmental strategy and measures in line with the company plan
\nEstablishing and maintaining a mine planning system using suitable software, to integrate geological resource models, geotechnical models, survey data, optimized designs, and productivity trends to accurately and timeously plan mining sequences and development phases to meet required production targets
\nProviding accurate designs and plans to ensure the mine can meet current and future production requirements
\nOverseeing operations to ensure adherence to short, medium, and long-term plans
\nCoordinating and reviewing the design of sub-level open stoping blocks and extraction and backfilling sequences
\nCoordinating and reviewing the design of mine development and services to support extraction and ensuring that technical and planning information is timeously made available to support mining production.<\/p>\n

\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bachelor of Engineering\/ BSc Degree in Mining.
\nMinimum of 10 years\u2019 experience in an underground mining environment with at least 4 years spent in mine planning and scheduling.
\nExperience in various underground mechanized mining methods is essential with at least 5 years\u2019 experience with sub level open stoping methods.
\nExperience with backfill, ventilation and underground operational infrastructure requirements.
\nSolid experience in mine scheduling and developing a mining budget.<\/p>\n
