\n6) RO PLANT TECHNICIAN

\nBASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nThe RO Plant Technician will be responsible for the effective operation, maintenance, and reliability of the Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant. The role ensures optimal plant availability, quality water production, and compliance with preventive and predictive maintenance schedules. This includes performing maintenance, membrane and media replacement, PPMs, and troubleshooting to support safe and efficient plant operation.

\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nYour key accountabilities include:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Performing routine and corrective maintenance on all RO plant equipment, including pumps, valves, filters, dosing systems, and instrumentation.
\nConducting membrane and Maddox (media) replacement, and PPM checks per manufacturer and site standards.
\nExecuting scheduled maintenance plans to ensure minimal downtime and maximum availability of the RO system.
\nTroubleshooting and resolving plant performance issues to restore optimal efficiency.
\nMaintaining and calibrating instrumentation and control systems (flow, pressure, conductivity, pH monitoring).
\nEnsuring correct chemical dosing and safe handling of water treatment chemicals.
\nMaintaining accurate maintenance and performance records, including daily logs and reports.
\nCoordinating with the Maintenance Engineer for planning and execution of major maintenance tasks.
\nPromoting and maintaining a strong safety culture and compliance with all SHEC standards.<\/p>\n

\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Trade Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
\nMinimum 10 years\u2019 experience working on industrial RO plants.
\nExperience with seawater RO (SWRO) systems is an advantage.
\nAdditional training in water treatment operations will be an advantage.<\/p>\n
