\nBASIC FUNCTION OF THE POSITION:

\nThe Risk & Assurance Coordinator is responsible for providing the operational support in coordinating the implementation of Risk Management and Assurance activities across Khoemacau, ensuring alignment with MMG Standards and site procedures. The role will be contributing to the consistent application of risk and assurance processes, follow-up of action plans, and preparation of reports to support effective governance within MMG.

\nMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0
\nYour key accountabilities include:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Assisting in coordinating and implementing MMG\u2019s Risk Management processes across Khoemacau Mine, ensuring alignment with MMG Standards and site procedures.
\nSupporting the maintenance of the site risk register, including monitoring control effectiveness, tracking action plans, and preparing periodic risk reports.
\nCoordinating and documenting risk workshops, assurance activities, and other risk-related engagements across departments.
\nSupporting the execution and monitoring of the Assurance Framework under the first line of defence, including scheduling, follow-up, and reporting of assurance activities.
\nTracking and consolidating outcomes from internal and external audits to support action closure and assurance reporting.
\nMonitoring the implementation of action plans arising from audits, inspections and risk reviews with risk and control owners.
\nProviding administrative and logistical support to the Senior Specialist in coordinating audits, inspections, and management review sessions.
\nMaintaining departmental trackers, dashboards, and reports on risk and assurance performance indicators to support governance and oversight at site and MMG level.
\nAssisting in collating and maintaining basic information related to insurance renewals and claims as part of departmental reporting requirements.<\/p>\n

\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR EFFECTIVE PERFORMANCE:
\n\u00a0
\n\u00a0<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in engineering, Finance or a related discipline
\n1-4 years\u2019 experience in risk management
\nPost graduate qualifications, i.e. Risk Management (advantageous)
\nExposure to system-based reporting (SAP, SharePoint, Power BI, or equivalent)
\nKnowledge of Risk Management, understanding of mining process. Ideally from an engineering background able to understand and question risks and solutions proposed.
\nUnderstand Risk management methodologies and experience in working with Risk Surveyors.
\nLegislative compliance requirements in mining and risk management.<\/p>\n
