\nJob Title: Procurement Specialist (5 Year Contract)
\nRole Purpose:
\nReporting to the Procurement Manager, the incumbent plays a critical role in ensuring that appropriate supply chain and procurement processes, suppliers, and contracts are in place, directly impacting operational continuity, cost efficiency, and the organisation\u2019s competitive advantage.
\nThe role is central to tender administration and management, overseeing the acquisition of critical goods and services to ensure the organisation secures high-quality materials at optimal cost, within required timelines, and delivering overall value.<\/p>\n
It further facilitates external procurement and manages supplier relationships to maximise operational efficiency and profitability.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Administer and manage tender processes, including preparation, evaluation, and compliance monitoring.
\nManage the procurement process for goods and services in line with organizational policies.
\nCollaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with operational needs.
\nIdentify, evaluate and select suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
\nNegotiate contracts and agreements to secure favourable terms and mitigate risks.
\nMaintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
\nMonitor supplier performance and resolve issues to ensure continuity of supply.
\nEnsure compliance with relevant procurement regulations, standards, and ethical practices.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Business Administration\/Supply Chain Management\/ or Equivalent.
\nAt least 5 years\u2019 experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management in a busy tender administration and management environment and systemized procurement and supply chain environment.
\nProfessional certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) is an added advantage.
\nKnowledge of procurement policies, tender regulations and compliance standards.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
\nOrganizational skills for managing multiple procurement cycles simultaneously.
\nHigh level of integrity, transparency, and ethical judgment.
\nExcellent negotiation and communication skills.
\nStrong organizational and time-management skills.<\/p>\n
