The Systems Auditor role is a critical position within the National Development Bank (NDB) as it navigates a significant digital transformation journey. This role is responsible for evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of the bank\u2019s information technology systems, ensuring that digital assets are protected and that systems operate efficiently to support the bank\u2019s socio-economic mission.
\nAs a Systems Auditor, you will perform comprehensive audits of IT infrastructure, applications, and security protocols. You will work closely with various departments to identify potential risks, recommend improvements to internal controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices within the financial sector of Botswana.

Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Conduct regular audits of the bank\u2019s IT infrastructure, operating systems, and application software to ensure data integrity and security.
\nEvaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes related to the bank\u2019s digital transformation initiatives.
\nIdentify system vulnerabilities and provide actionable recommendations to strengthen the bank\u2019s cybersecurity posture.
\nPerform post-implementation reviews of new systems and technologies to ensure they meet business requirements and security standards.
\nCollaborate with the IT and Risk departments to develop and execute a risk-based annual IT audit plan.
\nMonitor and report on the implementation of audit recommendations to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
\nCertified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation is highly preferred.
\nAt least 3-5 years of experience in IT auditing, risk management, or cybersecurity, ideally within the financial services industry.
\nStrong knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as COBIT, ISO 27001, and ITIL.
\nProficiency in data analysis tools and Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs).
\nExcellent analytical and communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to diverse stakeholders.
\nFamiliarity with the regulatory environment governing the financial sector in Botswana.<\/p>\n
