The primary objective is to optimize the mechanical availability, reliability, and lifecycle of a massive fleet of heavy underground mining equipment, directly impacting the mine\u2019s ability to produce.
\nThe superintendent will develop and enforce rigorous preventive and predictive maintenance schedules, manage complex OEM warranty claims, and oversee major component rebuilds and replacement strategies.
\nEnsuring total compliance with the MQWM Act regarding machinery safety regulations and leading continuous improvement initiatives in the workshop are fundamental duties.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
This senior engineering role requires a Mechanical or Elecrical Trade Certificate and a Degree\/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering will be preferred.
\nPrevious experience in a similar leadership role must be demonstrated.
\nThe candidate must possess a minimum of 10 years of extensive experience managing the maintenance of heavy trackless mobile machinery within a demanding underground environment, showcasing high-level proficiency with CMMS software and strong financial budgeting acumen.
