Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Assess and evaluate insurance applications, collaborating with underwriters on appropriate cover and pricing for identified risks
\nConduct thorough risk analysis to support sound and competitive underwriting decisions
\nManage the end-to-end claims process from initial notification through to timely settlement
\nScrutinise and validate claims documentation, identifying discrepancies and ensuring evidence meets required standards
\nEngage professionally with clients, sales representatives, and third-party service providers
\nMaintain accurate policy and claims records and prepare management reports
\nEnsure full compliance with Botswana insurance regulations and internal governance standards
\nProactively identify process improvements to enhance operational efficiency<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Diploma in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
\nAssociate Membership with the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) \u2013 mandatory.
\nIISA Associate Membership \u2013 Mandatory
\n3-5 years\u2019 experience in underwriting and\/or claims within a recognised insurance environment.
\nSound knowledge of Botswana insurance regulations and the local market landscape.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance management systems.
\nStrong analytical thinking and sound judgement in risk and claims assessment.
\nExceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
\nClear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
\nHigh standards of integrity and professionalism.
\nAbility to manage competing priorities and consistently meet deadlines.<\/p>\n
