Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Maintain the Quality, Environmental and Mining Records for the project;
\nDevelop the short to medium term mine plans for the underground operation, ensuring all key mining physicals are achieved in line with the principles quarterly mine plan;
\nAll aspects of drill and blast design are reviewed for execution;
\nAll aspects of paste backfill design, reviewed for execution;
\nProvide support with managing and prompting efficient Corrective actions for non-conformance;
\nProvide technical support and quality control of the works in accordance with the Contract Specification and the relevant Statutory Regulations;
\nInspect work at frequent intervals to ensure work quality meets stated objectives and the required environmental controls are in place;
\nDevelop review and approve inspection and test plans to ensure the work is carried out in accordance with specifications and drawings;<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mining) or related field;
\nMinimum 10 years\u2019 underground mining experience
\nDriver\u2019s License \u2013 Class C (and MR for driving bus if required);
\nExperience needed on all mobile equipment for maintenance purposes.
\nKnowledge and application of safe and reliable mechanical maintenance practices to maximise equipment availability and productivity;
\nIn-depth and extensive knowledge and application of contemporary underground mining practices to maximise safety and productivity.
\nExtensive knowledge of safety standards and construction and maintenance implications and requirements particularly in relation to safety critical systems and equipment used in the construction of infrastructure
\nSound knowledge of managing and implementing project developments;<\/p>\n
