{"id":7672,"date":"2026-05-29T22:00:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T22:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/botswana\/job\/impact-insights-officer2857-views\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T22:00:59","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T22:00:59","slug":"impact-insights-officer2857-views","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/botswana\/job\/impact-insights-officer2857-views\/","title":{"rendered":"Impact &amp; Insights Officer\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t2857 views"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Key Responsibilities<br \/>\nLead Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation Support<br \/>\nThe Impact and Insights Officer will support the design and implementation of the project\u2019s learning, monitoring and evaluation framework.<br \/>\nThis includes helping the project team track outputs, outcomes, indicators, risks, assumptions, lessons and impact across all project countries and activities.<br \/>\nThe officer will ensure that monitoring and evaluation is not treated as a once-off reporting exercise, but as a continuous learning process that informs project decisions.<br \/>\nDevelop and Update M&amp;E Tools<br \/>\nThe officer will develop, adapt and continuously improve the project\u2019s monitoring and evaluation tools.<br \/>\nThese may include; results tracking templates, activity reporting tools, partner reporting templates, pre- and post-activity assessment tools, outcome harvesting tools etc<br \/>\nTrack Project Progress and Results<br \/>\nThe officer will monitor project progress against agreed targets, outputs, outcomes and indicators.<br \/>\nThis includes collecting information from internal teams, country partners, grantees, consultants and activity leads.<br \/>\nResponsible for maintaining updated project data and ensuring that evidence is organised, accurate and available for reporting, learning and decision-making.<br \/>\nSupport Partner Learning and Reporting<br \/>\nGiven the project\u2019s multi-country nature, the officer will work closely with project partners across different Sub-Saharan African contexts.<br \/>\nThis includes supporting partners to understand reporting requirements, use M&amp;E tools correctly, submit quality information and reflect on lessons from their work.<br \/>\nThe officer may also provide light-touch capacity support to partners on data collection, documentation, results tracking and learning processes.<\/p>\n<p>Produce Project Reports and Evidence Products<br \/>\nThe Impact and Insights Officer will contribute significantly to internal and external reporting. This includes drafting, compiling or reviewing monthly and quarterly updates, donor progress reports, annual reports, activity reports, partner reports, learning briefs, Impact stories<br \/>\nThe officer will help ensure that reports are clear, evidence-based, well-structured and aligned with the project\u2019s goals and donor expectations.<br \/>\nCapture Learning and Insights<br \/>\nThe officer will lead processes to identify and document key lessons from project implementation.<br \/>\nThis includes facilitating reflection sessions, collecting partner feedback, analysing trends, identifying what is working, and highlighting challenges or adaptations.<br \/>\nStrengthen Impact Documentation<br \/>\nThe officer will work with the Storytelling Lead, project team and partners to identify strong stories of change.<br \/>\nThis includes supporting the documentation of human-interest stories, partner achievements, campaign outcomes, policy influence, capacity growth and shifts in knowledge, behaviour or practice.<br \/>\nEnsure that impact is captured through both numbers and narratives.<br \/>\nSupport Data Quality and Accountability<br \/>\nThe officer will be responsible for checking the quality, consistency and completeness of project data.<br \/>\nThis includes verifying information submitted by partners, identifying gaps, following up on missing evidence and ensuring that project records are well maintained.<br \/>\nThe officer will also support ethical and responsible data collection, especially when working with sensitive civic space, human rights and digital rights issues.<br \/>\nAdvise the Project Team on Learning and Adaptation<br \/>\nThe Impact and Insights Officer will provide regular advice to the project team on what the evidence is showing.<br \/>\nThis includes sharing insights that can help improve programming, sharpen campaigns, adjust activities, strengthen partner support and inform strategic decisions.<br \/>\nThe officer should be able to turn monitoring information into practical recommendations.<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nMinimum Qualifications;<br \/>\n\u00a0<br \/>\nThe ideal candidate should have a degree or professional qualification in Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Statistics, Public Policy, International Development, Human Rights, Governance, Digital Rights, Research, Communications for Development or a related field.Additional training in M&amp;E, results-based management, outcome harvesting, impact evaluation, data analysis, research methods or learning systems will be an added advantage.<br \/>\nProfessional Experience;<br \/>\nThe candidate should have at least 3\u20135 years of relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, impact documentation, research, reporting or programme quality roles.Experience working on multi-country, regional or donor-funded projects will be a strong advantage.Experience in digital rights, civic space, human rights, democracy, governance, media freedom, youth engagement or civil society strengthening will be highly desirable.Given the project\u2019s multi-country nature, this role may require occasional regional travel<br \/>\nAbout the CompanyAfrica\u2019s leading creative and digital rights organisationsView all jobs at this company \u2192Job Summary Job TypeFixed Time LocationGaborone \ufe0fCategoryMonitoring and Evaluation Closing DateMay 29, 2026<\/p>\n<p>Job Application  Details<\/p>\n<p>APPLICATION DETAILS<br \/>\nHow To Apply<br \/>\nInterested candidates who meet the above requirements should submit a Cover Letter and CV in English with the subject line \u201cImpact &amp;
