{"id":7673,"date":"2026-05-29T22:00:35","date_gmt":"2026-05-29T22:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/botswana\/job\/finance-officer3217-views\/"},"modified":"2026-05-29T22:01:03","modified_gmt":"2026-05-29T22:01:03","slug":"finance-officer3217-views","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/botswana\/job\/finance-officer3217-views\/","title":{"rendered":"Finance Officer\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t3217 views"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Financial Management &amp; Donor Compliance<br \/>\nSub-Grant &amp; Partner Financial Management<br \/>\nRisk Management &amp; Accountability<br \/>\nMinimum Qualifications<br \/>\nKey Skills and Competencies<\/p>\n<p>Financial Management &amp; Donor Compliance<\/p>\n<p>Lead day-to-day financial management of the project in compliance with donor regulations, organisational policies and statutory requirements.<br \/>\nManage project budgets, expenditure tracking, cash flow forecasting and financial reconciliations.<br \/>\nPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports within stipulated donor reporting timelines.<br \/>\nMonitor expenditure trends and budget utilisation and provide financial analysis and recommendations to project leadership.<br \/>\nEnsure accurate maintenance of financial records, accounting documentation and expenditure trackers.<br \/>\nProcess payments, advances, retirements and financial transactions related to project implementation activities.<br \/>\nSupport procurement and financial compliance processes in collaboration with programme and operations teams.<br \/>\nCoordinate project audits, donor compliance reviews and financial assessments.<br \/>\nSupport preparation of budget revisions, donor budget modifications and financial projections where necessary.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with statutory obligations, tax requirements and organisational financial procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Sub-Grant &amp; Partner Financial Management<\/p>\n<p>Coordinate financial accountability processes for sub-grants and partner organisations across multiple African countries.<br \/>\nReview partner financial reports, supporting documentation and expenditure reconciliations to ensure compliance with donor and organisational requirements.<br \/>\nMonitor partner expenditure trends, budget utilisation and compliance risks and recommend corrective action where necessary.<br \/>\nSupport partner capacity strengthening on financial reporting, documentation standards and donor compliance requirements.<br \/>\nTrack partner disbursements and financial reporting timelines across implementation cycles.<\/p>\n<p>Risk Management &amp; Accountability<\/p>\n<p>Strengthen and maintain effective financial control systems, accountability mechanisms and risk management procedures.<br \/>\nSupport fraud prevention measures, compliance monitoring systems and financial safeguarding processes.<br \/>\nIdentify and escalate financial and operational risks affecting project delivery and donor accountability.<br \/>\nEnsure confidentiality and integrity in management of sensitive financial and organisational information.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
