As one of Botswana\u2019s leading independent schools, with more than 127 years of educational excellence, we are seeking an individual who will contribute to the school\u2019s continued financial sustainability and operational excellence.<br \/>Job Summary<br \/>Type:<br \/>full-time<br \/>Location:<br \/>Francistown<br \/>Category:<br \/>Finance<br \/>Closing Date:<br \/>2026-08-27<br \/>Key Responsibilities<br \/>Manage the school\u2019s financial operations, accounting records and annual budgets.<br \/>Prepare monthly management accounts, reconciliations and financial reports.<br \/>Oversee school fee administration, debt collection and revenue management.<br \/>Maintain the school\u2019s asset register and financial controls.<br \/>Coordinate annual budgeting, external audits and statutory reporting.<br \/>Support the Principals and the Board of Governors with financial planning, forecasting and strategic reporting.<br \/>Administer payroll processes where applicable.<br \/>Ensure compliance with Ministry regulations, statutory requirements and audit recommendations.<\/p>\n<h3>Requirements<\/h3>\n<p>Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Botswana.<br \/>Be a Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, ACCA or an equivalent internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.<br \/>Hold a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related field.<br \/>Have a minimum of three to five years\u2019 relevant experience in financial management, preferably within an educational institution or similarly complex organisation.<br \/>Be registered with the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA), where applicable.<br \/>Demonstrate sound knowledge of financial management systems, budgeting, accounting principles, procurement processes and financial controls.<br \/>Be proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), Sage Pastel Partner and Sage Premier Payroll.<br \/>Have strong organisational, administrative and communication skills.<br \/>Demonstrate the ability to work independently while maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and professional ethics.<br \/>Experience with school financial management systems and public-sector financial procedures will be an added advantage.<br \/>High level of integrity.<br \/>Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.<br \/>Excellent organisational and time-management skills.<br \/>Ability to prioritise competing deadlines.<br \/>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br \/>Salary<br \/>competitive remuneration package commensurate with qualifications and experience<\/p>\n<h3>How to Apply<\/h3>\n<p>Applicants should submit:<br \/>A statement of suitability (cover letter) outlining how their qualifications, experience and professional strengths align with the essential requirements and key responsibilities of the position;<br \/>A detailed curriculum vitae;<br \/>Certified copies of qualifications and academic transcripts; and<br \/>Three contactable professional referees.
