This role involves overseeing data protection processes, ensuring that personal data is processed lawfully, and serving as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities and data subjects.\\nKey Performance Areas\\nEnsure the Council complies with all applicable data protection laws and regulations.\\nMonitor data processing activities to ensure compliance with legal obligations.\\nDevelop and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and standards.\\nProvide expert advice to the Council on data protection matters, including privacy impact assessments (PIAs) and legal requirements.\\nConduct regular training sessions to increase staff awareness of data protection and privacy practices.\\nGuide departments on data privacy issues related to new projects, systems, or technologies.\\nReduced data breaches and efficient and effective response\/resolution time.\\nEfficient response to data subject access requests (DSARs).\\nTimeliness in reviewing and updating data protection policies to align with legal changes.\\nKey Qualifications\\nBachelor\u2019s Degree in Law, Information Security, Data Management, or a related field.\\nRelevant certifications would be an added advantage.
