CCECC Ethiopian Branch is a leading organization committed to excellence in project execution and operational efficiency. We are seeking a highly competent Human Resource Officer to support our HR initiatives and ensure adherence to Ethiopian labor laws and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. HR Initiatives & Systems Development:
Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
Assist in the preparation of job descriptions, posting advertisements, and managing the recruitment process.
2. Employment Process Management:
Oversee all aspects of the employment process, from recruitment to onboarding.
Provide counseling on HR policies and procedures.
3. Legal Compliance & Working Conditions:
Review employment and working conditions to ensure full compliance with Ethiopian labor laws.
Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee information and HR records.
4. Accurate Employee Record-Keeping:
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records for each employee, including personal details, employment history, attendance, payroll, performance reviews, training, and benefits.
Ensure record retention complies with Ethiopian legal requirements (typically a minimum of five years).
5. Performance Evaluation:
Develop and implement a standardized process for evaluating employee performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, work quality, teamwork, punctuality, and initiative.
Schedule evaluations on an annual, quarterly, or probationary basis, and document all evaluation details securely.
6. Bonus & Salary Increment Policies:
Establish a performance-based bonus system (including performance bonuses, annual bonuses, profit-sharing, and festival bonuses).
Define clear guidelines for salary increments based on annual performance reviews, promotions, and cost-of-living adjustments.
7. Digital HR Systems:
Utilize HR management software to streamline record-keeping, performance tracking, and bonus management.
Ensure that all digital systems comply with data security and confidentiality requirements.
About You
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.
Experience:5 years of relevant work experience in Management In Design Company
Professional registration with the appropriate institute is required.
Skills & Competencies:
In-depth knowledge of Ethiopian labor laws.
Excellent English communication and writing skills.
Strong team spirit and ability to work collaboratively.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR processes efficiently.
