Job Summary:-The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and managing the day-to-day human resource operations of the company, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, HR administration, training coordination, compliance, and employee engagement activities. The role ensures effective implementation of HR policies and procedures while supporting organizational goals and maintaining a positive work environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding

Coordinate the full recruitment process from vacancy announcement to onboarding.
Screen CVs, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
Prepare employment contracts, offer letters, and onboarding documents.
Facilitate orientation programs for new employees.

Employee Relations

Maintain positive employee relations and address employee concerns professionally.
Support disciplinary procedures and grievance handling processes.
Ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.

HR Administration

Maintain and update employee personal files and HR databases.
Prepare HR letters including transfer, promotion, warning, confirmation, and experience letters.
Monitor attendance, leave management, and employee records.

Performance Management

Assist in implementing performance appraisal processes.
Follow up probation evaluations and performance reviews.
Support managers in setting performance objectives and improvement plans.

Training & Development

Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
Maintain training records and follow up training evaluations.

Compensation & Benefits

Support payroll preparation by providing accurate employee data.
Coordinate employee benefits administration including insurance and leave balances.

Compliance & Reporting

Ensure HR practices comply with labor law and company policies.
Prepare periodic HR reports and workforce statistics.
Maintain confidentiality of employee information.

About You

Qualification and Skills
Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant HR experience in a corporate environment.

Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of HR operations and Ethiopian labor law.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Strong recruitment and employee relations experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Additional Requirements

Experience in corporate companies is advantageous.
HR certification is a plus.
