\nThe Procurement Officer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services to meet the company\u2019s operational needs. This role involves vendor management, procurement planning, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards and compliance with company policies.
\nKey Roles and Responsibilities
\nProcurement Planning & Sourcing<\/p>\n
Develop and implement procurement plans in alignment with company needs and budgets.
\nIdentify reliable suppliers, maintain preferred supplier list and maintain strong vendor relationships.
\nResearch and evaluate new procurement opportunities, ensuring value for money and quality.<\/p>\n
Purchasing & Contract Management<\/p>\n
Prepare tender documents for different types of procurement methods and different procurements.
\nManage tender processes for different procurement methods.
\nNegotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms with suppliers.
\nPrepare and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies.
\nMonitor contract performance and ensure timely renewals or amendments when necessary.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Reporting<\/p>\n
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
\nMaintain detailed procurement records and prepare regular reports for management review.
\nWork closely with finance and operations teams to ensure proper budgeting and expenditure tracking.<\/p>\n
General Office Support<\/p>\n
Assist in maintaining procurement documentation, including contracts, invoices, and delivery receipts.
\nSupport in preparing procurement-related correspondence and communication with stakeholders.<\/p>\n

About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Diploma or Bachelor\u2019s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related role.
\nFamiliarity with procurement best practices and market trends.
\nStrong understanding of contract management and vendor negotiation.
\nFluency in Amharic and English is required.<\/p>\n
