Carbon Finance Coordinator \u2013 Nature Based Solution for regenerated Forest and Community Resilience Project at World Vision Ethiopia would be responsible for coordinating and implementing projects related to climate change mitigation and adaptation, particularly those involving carbon finance mechanisms. This role would involve project management, monitoring and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring alignment with World Vision\u2019s overall mission and strategic goals. Besides he\/she will oversee, ensure and coordinate the execution of the entire project in accordance with WV partnership framework, WVE policies, donor guidelines and government regulations and ensure project pre-assessments and implementation to the desired carbon finance standard, timely collection of required field data, check the QA\/QC to the standard, PDD, capture, compile and reported\/submitted timely.

\nActivity:<\/p>\n
Coordinate the planning, implementation, and evaluation of climate change and environmental projects, especially those involving carbon financing mechanisms.
\nDevelop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress, impact, and sustainability.
\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with local communities, partners, and government agencies related to climate change and environmental projects.
\nPossess a strong understanding of climate change issues, environmental management, and carbon finance mechanisms, including Voluntary Carbon offset and other carbon markets.
\nPrepare detailed reports on project progress, findings, and lessons learned, ensuring adherence to World Vision\u2019s reporting standards.
\nSupport the development and implementation of capacity-building initiatives to ensure local communities have the knowledge and skills to manage and sustain their environmental projects.
\nWork collaboratively with other departments within World Vision Ethiopia and external partners to ensure effective project implementation and knowledge sharing.
\nSupport the organization\u2019s advocacy efforts on climate change and environmental issues, and effectively communicate project results to a wide range of audiences.
\nIdentify and document best practices and lessons learned from project implementation, contributing to the organization\u2019s knowledge base.
\nSupport FMNR Movement Catalyst Project Manager for FMNR Scale up of FMNR across the regions through coordination with Regional Liaison Coordinators

About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications Required:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, forestry, agriculture, or related development studies.
\nStrong knowledge of climate change, environmental management, and carbon finance mechanisms.
\nSignificant bi-lateral donor grant experience with program implementation, funding acquisition, and reporting
\nMust be a creative individual with strong sense of priorities and organizational skills and an ability to work with diverse teams across considerable distances<\/p>\n
Work Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, particularly in the areas of climate change, environment, and carbon finance
\nTechnical Skills and Abilities<\/p>\n
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.
\nStrong organizational and analytical skills.
\nExperience in grant writing and proposal development.
\nMust be able to negotiate ideas within and outside the World Vision partnership, particularly with donor communities and government.<\/p>\n
