S\/he is responsible for leading a team of WASH Facilitators in household-level WASH promotion, and supporting WASH transformation in communities, schools, and Water Committees.<br \/>\nKEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:<\/p>\n<p>Support the CHC in community-level water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) promotion including:<\/p>\n<p>Facilitate Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS) triggering,<br \/>\nConduct community conversations using Lifewater\u2019s guidebook monthly in each target community,<br \/>\nMonitor community-level progress monthly,<br \/>\nWith the CHC, identify communities that are struggling and provide additional support, providing additional capacity building and training as needed, and<br \/>\nSupport organization of Open Defecation Free certification.<\/p>\n<p>Lead a team of WASH Facilitators to reach every household in their target communities with VHV programs, including vulnerable households.<\/p>\n<p>Identify community leaders who will serve as WASH Facilitators.<br \/>\nSupport the CHC in training WASH Facilitators to effectively provide household-level WASH training and monitoring.<br \/>\nEncourage and coach WASH Facilitators through group meetings and household visits.<br \/>\nIdentify WASH Facilitators or groups of households that are struggling, and work with CHC to provide additional support to these households.<br \/>\nMeet at least once monthly as a group of WASH Facilitators.<br \/>\nGather household monitoring data from WASH Facilitators and enter into MWATER.<br \/>\nRegister Healthy Homes.<\/p>\n<p>Support the CHC in school level WASH promotion including:<\/p>\n<p>Supporting trainings for teachers, students, and Parent Teach Association (PTA) or School Management Committee (SMC),<br \/>\nProviding regular support of WASH Clubs, and<br \/>\nMonitoring and encouraging PTA\/SMC contributions for all water points and latrines.<\/p>\n<p>Support Water Committees in target communities.<\/p>\n<p>Support training and follow-up of Water Committees in their target communities, including getting of all hardware pre-requisites prior to construction.<br \/>\nMonitor Water Committee progress during the intensive phase.<\/p>\n<p>Review the appropriateness and effectiveness of the sanitation and hygiene strategies and provide recommendations to CHC accordingly.<br \/>\nParticipate in program evaluations, including conducting baseline and endline studies.<\/p>\n<p>Personnel:<\/p>\n<p>Submit weekly 15\/5 and timesheet to supervisor.<br \/>\nParticipate in weekly one-on-one supervision meetings with supervisor.<br \/>\nParticipate in regular staff and skype meetings.<br \/>\nComplete other duties as assigned by supervisor<br \/>\nParticipate in regular staff and skype meetings.<br \/>\nComplete other duties as assigned by supervisors.<\/p>\n<p>KEY INDICATORS OF SUCCESS:<\/p>\n<p>100% of communities in target population have participated in SHO\/SHP-led community conversation each month<br \/>\n100% of vulnerable households are supported in the target population<br \/>\n100% of households monitored each month<\/p>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>University degree in environmental health, public\/community health, development studies, community psychology or other related field.<br \/>\nMinimum two and above years of experience in development work, preferably in a non-governmental organization setting, with at least two years of field experience in the health or water and sanitation sector has advantages<br \/>\nPrevious experience coordinating and leading community development teams of field staff.<br \/>\nPrevious experience and training in WASH programs.<br \/>\nStrong ICT skills especially Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).<\/p>\n<p>PERSONAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES:<\/p>\n<p>Commitment to the mission, vision, and core values of Lifewater International<br \/>\nFlexible and adaptable to changing environments<br \/>\nHonest and dependable in all areas including finances<br \/>\nStrong desire to work in and serve rural communities<br \/>\nAbility to fluently speak and write in the English, Afan Oromo and Amharic languages<br \/>\nFemale<br \/>\n90% of households become Healthy Homes by end of intensive phase;
