pillars of our Culture Code.<br \/>\nROLE SUMMARY:<br \/>\nThe Project Officer reports directly to the Project Manager (PM) and is responsible for the effective administration of the project and reporting on the outcome to internal and external contacts as required<br \/>\nThe Project Officer provides direct advice and guidance to partners for effective implementation of Right To Play projects in the project location.<br \/>\nThe Project Officer will manage Project Coordinators.<br \/>\nWHAT YOU\u2019LL DO:<br \/>\n1: Project administration and training and capacity building, where applicable (45% of Time):<br \/>\nContributes to the formulation of the project strategic and operational plans feeding into the overall country strategic plan.<\/p>\n<p>Prepares and manages the implementation plan of project activities from existing operational plan.<br \/>\nGuides project coordinators on executing the activities in each project location.<br \/>\nEnsures that activities are compliant with design of the project, RTP methodology and stand- ards.<br \/>\nOrganizes and facilitates events such as Play Days, trainings, community sensitization work- shops to promote topics\/issues related to their needs.<br \/>\nDevelops and strengthens understanding of our project management cycle with project staff and partners.<br \/>\nCompiles reports received from the project coordinators and submits monthly activity reports to the Project Manager.<br \/>\nCompletes monthly budget projections and tracks expenditures.<br \/>\nParticipates in the planning of budget and tracks activity expenses occurred against cash pro- jections.<br \/>\nSupports procurement of project equipment (in coordination with Logistics Officer\/Assistant where applicable), within authorization levels set in the In-Field Authorization Levels policy.<br \/>\nArranges for storage and delivery of sport equipment to participating schools.<br \/>\nCoordinates with other NGOs\/CBOs to ensure participation in partner events.<br \/>\nMonitors security situation in project location and reports to the PM.<br \/>\nFollows up on logistics issues at project location and ensure assets, including project vehicles are maintained.<br \/>\nCoordinates with the project team members on coordinating training and capacity building functions.<br \/>\nDevelopment of annual training plan to enhance staff skills and builds their capacities in line with the RTP country plan.<br \/>\nConducting training sessions in child protection, gender, human rights and other related subjects.<br \/>\nTraining Project coordinators, teachers and educational staff in RTP resources and sup- porting the certification process of -teachers.<br \/>\nWorks with Project Coordinators, teachers and educational staff to evaluate training workshops and develops evaluation reports.<br \/>\nEnsures teachers get coaching and mentoring support and participate in community of practice<br \/>\nMaintains records of the training database as well as the training library for the benefit and use of the team.<\/p>\n<p>2: Team management (20% of Time):<\/p>\n<p>Conducts performance appraisals for all direct reports and provides regular feedback on per- formance.<br \/>\nOversees performance of any contract staff such as security guards where applicable.<br \/>\nEnsures staff understands and complies with policies of RTP.<br \/>\nAssesses training needs of all direct reports with input from project staff, partners and stake- holders.<br \/>\nOversees training of coaches delivered by Project Coordinators and observes teachers\u2019 per- formance for certification.<br \/>\nFollows existing systems to reasonably safeguard the overall health, welfare and security of the project staff.<\/p>\n<p>#3: Networking, representation and partnership building (15% of Time):<\/p>\n<p>Shares activity plans with local NGOs, CBOs (community-based organizations) and looks for synergies and opportunities to work together.<br \/>\nMaintains a positive working relationship with local government structures community based organizations and partners<br \/>\nEnsures implementation of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements with local<\/p>\n<p>representation of Governmentand partner organizations.<\/p>\n<p>Facilitates collaboration and networking with other organizations, government and other relevant<\/p>\n<p>institutions to enhance RTP visibility and project activities.<br \/>\n\u2022Coordinates planning meetings with partners and represents RTP in various platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Conducts an assessment survey to determine the NGOs that RTP could partner with and initiates<\/p>\n<p>partnerships.<\/p>\n<p>Ensures partners are in compliance with RTP Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding policy.<\/p>\n<p>#4: Monitoring and reporting (15% of Time):<\/p>\n<p>Visits project locations to oversee activities, events and collects information to report on performance outcomes.<br \/>\nWorks with educational staff and teachers to develop their understanding of RTP\u2019s monitoring and evaluation system as it relates to reporting on children and teachers actively involved in sport and play activities.<br \/>\nConfirms classroom observations are conducted regularly, every teacher gets feedback and support<br \/>\nEnsures accurate collection and timely submission of quantitative and qualitative monitoring information according to RTP monitoring tools<br \/>\nSubmits regularly reports to PM and occasionally external stakeholders including Ministries, partners<\/p>\n<p>and donors.<\/p>\n<p>Provides quarterly updates of lessons learned and best practices to project team, stakeholders and the<\/p>\n<p>PM.<br \/>\n# 5: Perform other duties
