\nJOB PURPOSE:
\nUnder the direct supervision of a Partnerships Officer and the general supervisor of the Head of Partnerships & OIM, the purpose of this role is to support the Partnerships unit in the engagement with donors, and prepare supporting materials.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
\nIn line with the WFP Ethiopia Country Strategic Plan, support the implementation of the overall partnerships and resource mobilization strategy.<\/p>\n
Support the Partnerships Officer, as required, while proactively identifying new funding opportunities for relevant donors. If required, manage and build the relationship with relevant donors.
\nPrepare funding proposals, concept notes, and reports, in coordination with relevant units in the Ethiopia country office.
\nProactively contribute to the partnerships portfolio, including partner profiling and outreach activities, with the aim to maximize resources and leverage policy and technical support for WFP\u2019s work; Ensure partner conditions are met.
\nDraft briefs and talking points for senior management as needed, gathering data from diverse sources (e.g., WFPgo, security reports, donor intelligence, etc.) to support meetings with partners and donors.
\nAssist with grant management, such as monitoring end dates and requesting extensions.<\/p>\n
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
\nEducation: Completion of secondary school education.
\nExperience: Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience.
\nKnowledge & Skills:<\/p>\n
Excellent writing and communication skills, including proposal and report writing.
\nPartner management and resource mobilization.
\nAbility to work under pressure and in stressful situations.
\nPrior knowledge of WFP operations would be an asset.<\/p>\n
Language:
\nFluency in both oral and written communication in English (Level C).
