\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Assist in the preparation and processing of import documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs declarations.
\nCoordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs officials to ensure timely and efficient import operations.
\nMonitor shipments and track the status of deliveries, resolving any issues that may arise during the import process.
\nMaintain accurate records of all import transactions and documentation for compliance and auditing purposes.
\nSupport the Senior Import Officer in conducting market research and identifying potential suppliers.
\nEnsure compliance with local and international import regulations and company policies.
\nAssist in preparing reports related to import activities and inventory levels.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
\nBasic understanding of import\/export procedures and regulations.
\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\nGood communication and interpersonal skills.
\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).<\/p>\n
Experience: Previous internship or entry-level experience in import\/export operations is an advantage.
\nSkills:<\/p>\n
Understanding of import regulations and customs procedures.
\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
\nExcellent time management and organizational skills.<\/p>\n
Desirable Attributes:<\/p>\n
Technical Skills: Familiarity with import documentation and customs software is a plus.
\nLanguage Proficiency: Proficiency in English; knowledge of Amharic or other local languages is an advantage.
