Established in 2003 and reregistered under certificate number 1481, NEWA promotes women\u2019s political, social, economic, and legal rights through advocacy and capacity-building efforts. With 37 member associations, NEWA plays a pivotal role in influencing national policies and ensuring women\u2019s entitlements are recognized.<br \/>\nTraining Background<br \/>\nIn collaboration with UN Women, NEWA is implementing the \u201cEmpowerment and Representation: Advancing Political Inclusion for Women and Persons with Disabilities in Ethiopia\u201d project to enhance political inclusion for women and persons with disabilities. As part of this initiative, NEWA will deliver a capacity-building training on Evidence-Based Policy Advocacy for Women-Led and Women Rights Organizations, CSOs, and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities. The training seeks to equip participants with strategic advocacy skills, focusing on women\u2019s political participation and Temporary Special Measures (TSM).<br \/>\nObjectives<br \/>\nThe training aims to:<\/p>\n<p>Enhance advocacy skills of 80 CSO leaders and experts on evidence-based policy advocacy.<br \/>\nStrengthen engagement of participants in advocating for women and persons with disabilities\u2019 rights in the political space.<br \/>\nEquip CSO leaders and experts with practical tools and knowledge to implement policy advocacy strategies.<\/p>\n<p>Scope of Work<br \/>\nThe trainer\/consultant will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<p>Developing a training methodology, schedule, and materials for approval.<br \/>\nConducting two rounds of training sessions for 80 participants (40 in each round).<br \/>\nDesigning and conducting pre- and post-training evaluations.<br \/>\nPreparing a comprehensive training report summarizing key findings and recommendations.<\/p>\n<p>Duration &amp; Location<br \/>\nThe training will be conducted for three consecutive days in two rounds in Afar (Semera) and Adama town:<\/p>\n<p>Round 1: June 11\u201313, 2025<br \/>\nRound 2: June 17\u201319, 2025<\/p>\n<p>Training Participants<br \/>\nParticipants will include 80 CSO leaders from Women-Led and Women Rights Organizations, CSOs, and Organizations of Persons with Disabilities.<br \/>\nMethodology<br \/>\nThe training will be interactive and participatory, incorporating:<\/p>\n<p>Presentations on advocacy principles and strategies.<br \/>\nGroup discussions fostering peer learning.<br \/>\nPractical exercises on the Evidence-Based Policy Advocacy for applied learning.<\/p>\n<p>Expected Deliverables<br \/>\nThe consultant\/trainer must provide:<\/p>\n<p>Inception Report: detailing training methodology, contents of the training and schedule.<br \/>\nTraining Materials: PowerPoint presentations, handouts\/ manual, and exercises.<br \/>\nPre-and post-assessment<br \/>\nSuccessful delivery of two rounds of training.<br \/>\nPost-training report: summarizing outcomes and evaluation results.<\/p>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>Trainer\/Consultant Requirements &amp; Qualifications<br \/>\nThe trainer\/consultant must be:<\/p>\n<p>A Senior Expert in providing capacity building and women\u2019s political participation.<br \/>\nA Certified Trainer (TOT) in Advocacy is mandatory.<br \/>\nHold a Master\u2019s degree in Law, Political Science, Gender Studies, or related fields.<br \/>\nHave 5+ years of experience on providing advocacy training.<br \/>\nDemonstrate expertise in capacitating women\u2019s rights, CSOs, and participatory training tools.<br \/>\nHave strong English writing skills for material and report development.<\/p>\n<p>Application Procedure<br \/>\nQualified applicants must submit a Technical Proposal (8\u201312 pages) covering:<\/p>\n<p>Capacity Statement outlining relevant experience.<br \/>\nExpression of Interest, demonstrating an understanding of the assignment.<br \/>\nTraining methodology and tools, with a detailed timeline.<br \/>\nTeam Composition, including key experts (attach CVs).<br \/>\nBudget Proposal for both rounds of training.<br \/>\nReference Letters from similar training engagements.<br \/>\nSubmission of Technical &amp;
