We are a results-oriented organization committed to implementing efficient, effective, and sustainable charitable interventions across Ethiopia.<br \/>\nCurrently, PAD is undertaking a major scale-up of its programs, with a focus on urban destitution, peacebuilding and democratization, child protection, youth development, support for migrant returnees, health, and livelihood development. We are also implementing humanitarian projects, including Shelter and Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), targeting low-income and vulnerable women, children, youth, and adults.<br \/>\nAs part of this expansion, PAD is extending its operations to several regions, including Addis Ababa, Tigray, Amhara, Oromia, Harari, and the Somali, South Regional State.<br \/>\nPAD is now seeking to hire a qualified professional for its EHF-funded project.<br \/>\nOverall Responsibility<br \/>\nThe position is based in Sekota and will support Mobile Health and Nutrition Teams (MHNTs) and other health facility-linked activities in Gazgibla and Abergele Woredas.<br \/>\nThe Project Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the effective implementation, coordination, and monitoring of health and nutrition interventions across Waghimra Zone, with a focus on Gazgibla, Abergele, and surrounding woredas. Key responsibilities include:<br \/>\nSpecific Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>Project Coordination and Oversight<\/p>\n<p>Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of health and nutrition project activities per approved work plans, standards, and donor requirements.<br \/>\nProvide regular technical and managerial support to MHNTs and health facilities in target areas.<br \/>\nEnsure activities are aligned with national and regional guidelines (e.g., CMAM, IMNCI, IYCF, MHNT protocols).<\/p>\n<p>Field Supervision and Support<\/p>\n<p>Conduct routine field visits to monitor project performance, identify gaps, and provide on-site technical support and coaching to MHNT and facility-based staff.<br \/>\nOversee mobile service delivery schedules, logistics, and coordination with woreda health offices and community leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Team Management and Capacity Building<\/p>\n<p>Supervise project field staff, including MHNT team leads, officers, and other technical personnel.<br \/>\nFacilitate regular team meetings, performance reviews, and capacity-building sessions for staff and community health actors (e.g., HEWs, HDAs).<\/p>\n<p>Stakeholder Engagement and Representation<\/p>\n<p>Act as the focal point for coordinating with local government bodies (e.g., Zonal and Woreda Health Offices), NGOs, and community leaders.<br \/>\nRepresent the organization in health and nutrition sector meetings at woreda, zonal and regional levels.<\/p>\n<p>Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting<\/p>\n<p>Ensure timely collection and analysis of health and nutrition data from the field.<br \/>\nLead the preparation and submission of high-quality weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the project manager and donors.<br \/>\nSupport evaluations, needs assessments, and learning activities.<\/p>\n<p>Supply and Logistics Coordination<\/p>\n<p>Work closely with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery and management of nutrition supplies, drugs, and equipment to MHNTs and health facilities.<br \/>\nMonitor inventory levels and report supply gaps to ensure continuous service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>Financial and Administrative Oversight<\/p>\n<p>Support the development of project budgets and work plans.<br \/>\nMonitor project expenditures and ensure spending is in line with financial plans and donor requirements.<br \/>\nReview and approve field activity requests, advances, and liquidations in coordination with the finance team.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency Preparedness and Response<\/p>\n<p>Monitor health and nutrition-related emergencies in the project area (e.g., disease outbreaks, displacement) and coordinate timely response in collaboration with local authorities and other actors.<\/p>\n<p>Documentation and Knowledge Management<\/p>\n<p>Document success stories, lessons learned, and best practices for internal learning and external communication.<br \/>\nEnsure proper documentation of project implementation, beneficiary reach, and feedback.<\/p>\n<p>About You<\/p>\n<p>Qualification: Bachelor\u2019s degree in Public Health, Medicine, or Nursing. A Master\u2019s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, or a related field is an advantage.<br \/>\nExperience: \u2013 Minimum of 6 years of experience working in health and nutrition programs, preferably in project coordination or management roles.<br \/>\nSkills Required: <\/p>\n<p>Proved project coordination and financial management skills, including activity planning, budgeting, financial tracking, and reporting, to ensure project funds are efficiently and transparently managed in line with donor requirements.<br \/>\nAbility to work closely with technical teams to monitor activities\u2019 progress\/efficiency and finance teams to check expenditures, support procurement processes, and contribute to financial compliance audits.<br \/>\nStrong knowledge and application of MHNT principles, including antenatal care, postnatal care, nutrition counseling, and newborn care.<br \/>\nProven ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including health workers, community volunteers, and local stakeholders.<br \/>\nExcellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.<br \/>\nExperience in data collection, analysis, and reporting using health and nutrition information systems.<br \/>\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement, advocacy, and community mobilization.<br \/>\nAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing project needs in humanitarian or development settings.<br \/>\nProficiency in MS Office applications and health management software is preferred.<\/p>\n<p>Other:<\/p>\n<p>Willingness to travel to and work in remote and hard-to-reach locations.<br \/>\nAbility to work effectively in a mobile team setting with flexibility and cultural sensitivity.<\/p>\n<p>Number required: one<br \/>\nSalary: As per the organization\u2019s Salary Scale<br \/>\nDuty Station: The position is based in Sekota Town, Waghimra Zone, Amhara Region, with frequent travel to project implementation areas, including Gazgibla and Abergele woredas.
