We are a results-oriented organization committed to implementing efficient, effective, and sustainable charitable interventions across Ethiopia.<br \/>\nCurrently, PAD is undertaking a major scale-up of its programs, with a focus on urban destitution, peacebuilding and democratization, child protection, youth development, support for migrant returnees, health, and livelihood development. We are also implementing humanitarian projects, including Shelter and Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM), targeting low-income and vulnerable women, children, youth, and adults.<br \/>\nAs part of this expansion, PAD is extending its operations to several regions, including Addis Ababa, Tigray, Amhara, Oromia, Harari, and the Somali, South Regional State.<br \/>\nPAD would like to hire a qualified professional for the project implemented in Partnership with IRC and donated by the German Postcode Lottery<br \/>\nDuties and Responsibilities<br \/>\nUnder the direct supervision of the Program Manager at PAD HQ and with technical collaboration from IRC, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day implementation of the Community Nutrition Project in 33 kebeles of Mieso Woreda. The Coordinator will oversee a team of Nutrition Officers, Health Officers, and Community Development Facilitators (CDFs), and ensure quality, timely, and effective delivery of project outcomes.<br \/>\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n<p>Provide overall leadership, coordination, and management of project activities in line with the work plan and donor requirements.<br \/>\nSupervise and provide ongoing technical and operational guidance to Nutrition Officers, Health Officers, and CDFs.<br \/>\nEnsure quality implementation of all community-based nutrition interventions (CMAM, IYCF, GMP, referrals, etc.).<br \/>\nLead project planning, periodic review, and adaptive management processes in response to evolving needs.<br \/>\nEnsure timely preparation and submission of quality monthly, quarterly, and annual narrative and data reports.<br \/>\nCoordinate logistics, procurement, and distribution of supplies in collaboration with the PAD logistics team.<br \/>\nFacilitate effective engagement with woreda health offices, health facilities, community leaders, and relevant government structures.<br \/>\nMonitor performance against project indicators and ensure achievement of targets.<br \/>\nLead capacity building and mentoring of staff and community volunteers on technical, operational, and reporting aspects.<br \/>\nSupport real-time problem solving, risk mitigation, and ensure the safety of project staff and supplies.<br \/>\nRepresent PAD in woreda-level forums and nutrition cluster coordination meetings.<br \/>\nTrack project budget utilization, flag variances, and ensure cost-effective use of resources.<br \/>\nFacilitate joint monitoring and evaluation with relevant stakeholders and IRC staff.<br \/>\nEnsure compliance with organizational, donor, and government rules and guidelines.<br \/>\nPerform any other tasks assigned by his supervisor to ensure project success.<\/p>\n<p>Number required: one<br \/>\nSalary: As per the organization\u2019s Salary Scale<br \/>\nDuty Station: Oromia Region, West Hararghe Zone, Mieso<br \/>\nEmployment type: contract<br \/>\nFemale applicants are encouraged to apply<br \/>\nEqual Employment Opportunity<br \/>\nPositive Action for Development (PAD) promotes fairness, equity, and diversity in the workplace. A master\u2019s degree in nutrition is an asset.<br \/>\nWork Experience:<\/p>\n<p>Minimum of 5 years of experience in project coordination or management in health and nutrition programs, preferably in community-based or emergency settings.<br \/>\nDemonstrated experience managing multi-kebele or woreda-level projects.<br \/>\nExperience working with NGOs and coordinating with local government structures.<\/p>\n<p>Technical Skills:<\/p>\n<p>Strong knowledge of national and international guidelines on CMAM, MIYCN, GMP, and emergency nutrition response.<br \/>\nProven skills in project planning, team supervision, performance management, and resource planning.<br \/>\nSolid experience in report writing, budget tracking, and indicator-based monitoring and evaluation.<br \/>\nFamiliarity with program quality assurance, stakeholder coordination, and community engagement strategies.<\/p>\n<p>Communication and Language:<\/p>\n<p>Excellent communication skills and fluency in the local language are required.<br \/>\nKnowledge of Afaan Oromo is highly desirable.<\/p>\n<p>Other Requirements:<\/p>\n<p>Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills.<br \/>\nHigh level of organization, responsibility, and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure.<br \/>\nWillingness to frequently travel to remote kebeles.<br \/>\nBasic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email\/internet).<br \/>\nMotorbike riding skill is a plus (with a valid license preferred)<\/p>\n<p>Application Process<br \/>\nInterested candidates must send the following application documents with the subject line, Project Coordinator (Community Nutrition Project) Mieso<br \/>\nMotivation\/Cover letter (not more than one page);<br \/>\nIt is highly recommended to include your salary expectations and current salary in the application letter.<br \/>\nCV (not more than 4 pages) and relevant documents (education certificates, experience, and others) (Please note that the certificates and CV should be in one single file.)
