1. Job Summary
\nLogistics Head, primary responsibility is to oversee and manage the logistical operations of an organization. And responsible for coordinating and executing the movement, storage, and distribution of goods and materials in an efficient and cost-effective manner. role will involve strategic planning, process optimization, team management, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
\n2. Main Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Develop and implement a comprehensive logistics strategy aligned with the company\u2019s objectives and goals.
\nIdentify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and operational efficiency in logistics operations.
\nForecast logistics and supply chain requirements to meet customer demands and business growth.
\nCoordinate the transportation, inventory management, and distribution activities to ensure smooth operations.
\nMonitor and track shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues or delays.
\nOptimize routes and transportation modes to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
\nLead and manage a team of logistics professionals, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
\nProvide guidance and support to team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
\nEnsure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations governing logistics operations, such as customs and trade compliance.
\nImplement and maintain appropriate documentation and record keeping systems.
\nIdentify and mitigate potential risks in logistics operations, such as security, safety, and legal issues.
\nEstablish key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations and regularly monitor and evaluate performance against targets.
\nPrepare and present reports on logistics activities, including operational metrics, cost analysis, and performance trends, to senior management.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
MA or Batchelor\u2019s degree in Procurement and Logistics, Supply chain, Business Administration, Accounting, or related fields
\nA minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in a related role.
\nProven experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in a leadership role.
\nStrong knowledge of logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
\nFamiliarity with industry best practices, regulations, and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.
\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
\nStrong leadership and team management abilities.
\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
