Facilitation of Cost-Saving Ideas:<\/p>\n
Encourage and facilitate cost-saving ideas from the different teams across the five companies.
\nCreate an environment of innovative thinking and champion open sharing of cost-saving\/best practices ideas.<\/p>\n
Cross-Functional Cooperation:<\/p>\n
Work cooperatively with the other functions: procurement; engineering; operations; and finance to ensure cross-functional expectations align with the overall business objectives.
\nAct as the facilitator\/liaison between departments or companies to ensure identification of cost-saving practices are coordinated with all affected stakeholders.<\/p>\n
Coordination of Initiatives:<\/p>\n
Coordinate the timely execution of cost-saving initiatives from conception to implementation.
\nCoordinate preparation of project schedules, and allocation of resources while monitoring initiatives for efficiency of implementation.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and Check-in:<\/p>\n
Develop metrics and benchmarks to know if\/when cost-saving ideas are successfully deployed.
\nCheck in regularly on initiatives for ongoing assessments. Address challenges, recommend solutions, and begin continuous improvement.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Communication:<\/p>\n
Present progress reports to senior management on status of cost saving initiatives, summarize successes, challenges, and recommendations.
\nFoster open communication within teams so they can communicate their insights and develop ongoing collaboration across businesses.<\/p>\n
Professional Development:<\/p>\n
Keep informed on development of new materials and methods for potential cost optimization across the industry.
\nLead and facilitate training for growing employees\u2019 understanding of cost management practices, and lead the training sessions of cost management, and ultimately potential cost savings throughout the organization.<\/p>\n
About You<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in Civil Engineering and MBA.
\nMinimum of 15 years relevant work in construction or manufacturing costing management, project management, and\/or engineering.
\nStrong ability to be able to align cooperation across functions and teams.
\nAnalytical mind, problem-solver who is willing to work through ideas and implement actionable solutions.
\nAble to prepare manuals and other documents
