\nA shift supervisor oversees the daily operations of a specific work shift, ensuring smooth workflow, team performance, and adherence to company standards. They manage and motivate employees, handle customer interactions, and maintain a safe and efficient work environment. Essentially, they bridge the gap between frontline staff and management, ensuring the shift operates effectively.
\nShift Supervisor Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee and ensure work is completed correctly efficiently, and according to established plans and procedures.
\nTeam Leadership & Development:<\/p>\n
Recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
\nProvide training and development opportunities to enhance employee skills and performance.
\nManage employee performance, providing regular feedback and addressing performance issues.<\/p>\n
Workforce Management:<\/p>\n
Forecast labor requirements and plan schedules accordingly, including managing employee absences and assigning substitutions.
\nMaintain accurate attendance records and report them in a timely manner.
\nAdminister employee leave requests.<\/p>\n
Safety & Compliance:<\/p>\n
Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations, working with relevant authorities as needed.
\nIdentify and address safety concerns promptly.
\nLead accident investigations, complete initial reporting, and manage communication related to worker\u2019s compensation claims.<\/p>\n
Communication & Coordination:<\/p>\n
Understand the operations and staff duties of all departments within the unit.
\nCommunicate effectively with employees and management.<\/p>\n
Administrative Tasks:<\/p>\n
Track and analyze worker\u2019s compensation claims and settlements.
\nAdminister disciplinary actions as needed.
\nVerify medical prescriptions\/receipts and submit them for reimbursement.<\/p>\n

Job Requirements:<\/p>\n
Education: Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Management, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business Administration, or a related field.
\nExperience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Factory Supervisor.
