\nJob Summary:
\nThe Junior Legal Advisor will provide legal support across the company\u2019s operations, focusing on contract review, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and risk mitigation. This role is ideal for a recent law graduate or early-career professional seeking hands-on experience in corporate law.
\n Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
\n1. Contract Drafting & Review:<\/p>\n
Assist in negotiating and drafting agreements (e.g., NDAs, vendor\/supplier contracts, licensing, and partnership agreements).
\nEnsure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.<\/p>\n
2. Regulatory Compliance:<\/p>\n
Research and advice on relevant regulations (e.g., data privacy, consumer protection, industry-specific standards).
\nSupport compliance audits and risk assessments<\/p>\n
3. Intellectual Property (IP):<\/p>\n
Help protect company IP (e.g., copyrights, trademarks, patent applications).
\nReview third-party licenses for compliance risks<\/p>\n
4. Corporate Governance:<\/p>\n
Assist with corporate filings, board resolutions, and maintaining legal entity records<\/p>\n
Dispute Resolution:
\n5. Collaborate with external counsel on litigation or breach of contract cases.<\/p>\n
Draft legal notices or settlement agreements as needed.<\/p>\n
6. Legal Research & Training:<\/p>\n
Monitor changes in laws and summarize implications for internal teams.
\nConduct training sessions for employees on legal topics (e.g., contract basics, compliance).

About You<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Skills:<\/p>\n
Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB from a recognized Ethiopian university
\nMaster\u2019s degree or relevant certifications is advantageous
\nExperience: 2+years in legal roles. Preferably in corporate or commercial law.
\nFamiliarity with contract law and regulatory frameworks.
\nBasic understanding of data protection laws.
\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
\nBasic understanding of legal research tools (e.g., Ethiopian Legal Information Institute \u2013 EthiopianLII)
\nStrong analytical and communication skills.
\nAbility to translate legal jargon into clear language.
\nDetail-oriented with multitasking capabilities.
\nLeadership: Exceptional people management, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
\nAnalytical Skills: Data-driven decision-making and problem-solving abilities. while fostering a productive and legally sound workplace.<\/p>\n
